How to stop the
continuous vibrating popping noise while recording?
Run the FlexiMusic Wave Editor.
Noise filtering is done in
two steps, choosing Pure Noise and Noise Reduction. By choosing pure noise
you let the program know what kind of noise you are trying to filter. Noise
filtering will reduce the quality little bit, so you should not use the
noise filtering command on the same audio over and again.
1. Open the recorded file in FlexiMusic Wave Editor.
2. First let us increase
all the sound. Select the entire wav file to Maximize the audio, Menu >
Volume > Maximize. Click Ok.
Removing Popping Noise:
3. Play the sound and hear
the popping noise. Zoom-In to see the
noise waveform alone, and select a small piece of pure noise and use
Choose Pure Noise (Menu > Effects > Noise Reduction >
Choose Pure Noise) or click the Choose Pure Noise tool button.
Note: Try the
filtering for 5 min and then do then next with different pure noise and see
the difference. May be it is better to copy few pure noises and keep in a
separate file for reuse. It is not an absolute rule no to redo the noise
command again. You can try it out, and if you find the quality reduction
then undo it.
4. Select the whole file
that you need to filter and use Apply Noise Filter (Menu > Effects >
Noise Reduction > Apply Noise Filter) or click the Apply Noise Filter button
at the top.
5. Save the file using the "Save As" command giving
the file a new name.
We suggest you to get
experienced with noise filtering. Noise filtering technique depends on the
kind of noise you are filtering. It is not a one time job, you need to try
and try with different possibilities and get to know the best. There is no
fixed technique.
