| How to mix two mono files
into one stereo file, with one file playing as left and another as right?
The key is to select only one
channel and do Copy/Paste, there are two options to do this, one is the set
of menus "Edit > Channel > Left/Right/Both", other is the set of three "Select Channel Option
Buttons" at the bottom left (above the play buttons).
1. Run the FlexiMusic Wave Editor.
2. Open two mono files one
by one.
3. Check the format for
both files, make it same if they are different using the format menu (Menu >
File > Format).
4. Create a new file in
the same format.
5. Now make the format of
the new file
same as the old ones (Sampling Rate and Bits), and then change to Stereo using the format menu (Menu > File > Format).
6. Switch to First Mono file, Use Select All command to select the whole file, and copy the
selected part using Copy (Menu > Edit > Copy).
7. Switch to other file
(new file), Press "Esc" key (on the keyboard) few times to clear selections
(if any) on the screen. Choose the Left channel (Menu > Edit > Channel >
Left) or use the tool button "Select only Left channel" (at the
bottom left), then use the
command Paste-Insert (Menu > Edit > Paste-Insert), it will ask you the
location to insert, choose "Start point of the file".
Note: Normally you can select one point selection by clicking on the screen
once, and insert the audio on a desired time location, in this case we want
it at the start, so we clear the selection and do the paste-insert with out
any selection.
8. Switch to Second Mono
file, Use Select All command to select the whole file, and copy the
selected part using Copy (Menu > Edit > Copy).
9. Switch to the new file,
Press "Esc" key (on the keyboard) few times to clear selections (if any) on
the screen. Choose the Right channel (Menu > Edit > Channel > Right) or use the tool
button "Select only Right channel" (at the bottom left),
then use the command Paste-Insert, it will ask you the location to
insert, choose "Start point of the file".
10. Now you can hear two
Mono songs played as one Stereo file.
11. Save the new file.
