or create MP3
files in FlexiMusic Wave Editor the LAME MP3 Encoder must be installed.
To Download and Install LAME:
1. Download a copy of the
Lame file using one of the below links.

to download the free encoder. Download Link2:

2. Choose to Save instead of
Run. When you click on the link the Browser will ask you whether to run or
to save, you choose "Save". Save your download to an easy to remember folder
on your computer.
3. Using "Windows Explorer"
or "My Computer" go to the folder where you saved "lame3.98b3.zip" in your
computer and open the zip file to extract, in that copy the lame.exe and
lame_enc.dll file.
4. Then create a new folder "Lame"
under program files (for eg., C:\Program Files\Lame\) and paste the two
files (lame.exe and lame_enc.dll) into the Lame folder.
5. The first time you use the
MP3 file in FlexiMusic Wave Editor, it will ask you for the path of an
encoder, use the browse button to show this lame.exe file. To Open MP3 File:
1. Run the FlexiMusic Wave
Editor and open the MP3 file normally (read the below note for first time).
To Save/Convert to MP3
File:
1. Run the FlexiMusic Wave
Editor and open the .Wav file.
2. To save in MP3 format,
use File > Save As. Select the Mp3 files (*.mp3) type. Click Save.
3. This will show the
Select Mp3 Compressing Parameters dialog box. Use the bit-rates of
128kbps or higher and set a stereo mode to Default.
Note: Usually if
you install the encoders to its default locations (C:\Program
Files\Lame\..), then the software will find it automatically. Otherwise
when you try to open or save MP3 file for the first time FlexiMusic Wave
Editor will ask for an encoder and you just need to show that once. |
