How to record only one channel in Stereo wav file?

To record or work on only one channel in a stereo file is to select one channel. Normally the selection will always happen for both channels together, but here select one only channel.

1. Use one of the three small buttons (Blue / White buttons in the bottom)  to toggle the selection or use the Menu > Edit > Channel > Left/Right.

2. Go to Menu > File > Format > Change to Stereo, 16 bit, 44100 Hz.

3. Before recording select the channel. If you want left channel click the left side part (top) or if you want Right channels click the right side part (bottom), or use the small toggle button.

4. Click on the screen once to select the position where you would insert the recorded wave sound.

5. Click the Record button (the red circle) to record the voice. This will open the Record window.

6. Choose Microphone device, in the Recording Source drop down list. Click on "Volume" button to open the "Recording Source Volume Control" window, and then adjust the volume for Microphone.

6. Click the "Start" button to start recording.

7. When you want to stop recording, just click "Stop" button, Click "Done" button to finish recording and the destination sound file is there.

7) After finishing recording in one channel, you can toggle / select the other channel and record in that.

Note: You can also copy/paste audio data between one file to other file by selecting only one channel.
