How to record my voice while hearing the music, and mix that voice with music?

The key is to run two FlexiMusic Wave Editors side by side in your PC, play the music in one instance of FlexiMusic Wave Editor to hear through headphones, and record the voice in another instance of FlexiMusic Wave Editor.

Play Music with First Instance:

1. On first instance of FlexiMusic Wave Editor, Open the music file and let it play. Use a head phone to hear the playing audio, so that it is not picked up by the microphone. To stop playing the vocal that is coming through the Microphone, Mute the "Microphone" in the Other Volume Controls window.

Record Vocal with Second Instance:

2. Then you run the second instance of FlexiMusic Wave Editor using the Start > All Programs > FlexiMusic > FlexiMusic Wave Editor.

3. To make a voice wav click on File > New or click on the New button, Choose the format same as the music file (for example 44100Hz, 16 bits, Stereo).

4. Click on the screen once to select the position where you would insert the recorded wave sound.

5. Click the Record button (the red circle) on the tool button. This will open the Record window.

6. Before Recording your voice, Make sure that Microphone is selected. Choose Microphone in the Recording Source drop down list. Click on "Volume" button to open the "Recording Source Volume Control" window, and then adjust the volume for Microphone to the highest possible performance.

7. As soon as you wish to start recording click "Start" button in Record Audio window of FlexiMusic Wave Editor.

8. As you are recording, you'll see the levels of the volume going up and down on the vertical white bar of your voice being recorded.
Note: While recording you can switch to the other FlexiMusic Wave Editor and do the play/pause/stop etc..

9. You can pause the process of recording by clicking the "Pause" button any time you want and then resume it by clicking the "Continue" button.

10. When you've finished recording, press Stop (button).

11. Click "Done" button to insert the recording  into the file at the position you previously selected.

12. To save your recording, click the File menu and choose Save command. Name your file and save in .wav format and save it to an folder (as you like).

Edit Vocal in Second Instance:

13. Play full recording using Play button. While playing starting and ending of your recording file you will see some silence part.

14. Now remove silence at the beginning of recording by selecting the silence part of an audio and using Delete (Menu > Edit > Delete) command.
