How to record my voice
while hearing the music, and mix that voice with music?
The key is to run two FlexiMusic Wave Editors side by side in your PC, play
the music in one instance of FlexiMusic Wave Editor to hear through
headphones, and record the voice in another instance of FlexiMusic Wave
Editor.Play
Music with First Instance:
1. On first instance of FlexiMusic Wave Editor, Open the music file and let it
play. Use a head phone to hear the playing audio, so that it is not picked
up by the microphone. To stop playing the vocal that is coming through the
Microphone, Mute the "Microphone" in the Other Volume Controls
window.
Record Vocal with
Second Instance:
2. Then you run the second instance of FlexiMusic Wave Editor using the
Start > All Programs > FlexiMusic > FlexiMusic Wave Editor.
3. To make a voice wav click on File > New or click on the New button,
Choose the format same as the music file (for example 44100Hz, 16 bits, Stereo).
4. Click on the screen once
to select the position where you would insert the recorded wave sound.
5. Click the Record button (the red circle) on the tool button. This
will open the Record window.
6. Before Recording your voice, Make sure that Microphone is selected. Choose Microphone
in the Recording Source drop down list. Click on "Volume"
button to open the "Recording Source Volume Control" window, and then adjust
the volume for Microphone to the highest possible performance.
7. As soon as you wish to start recording click "Start" button in
Record Audio window of FlexiMusic Wave Editor.
8. As you are recording, you'll see the levels of the volume going up and
down on the vertical white bar of your voice being recorded.
Note:
While recording you can switch to the other FlexiMusic Wave Editor and do
the play/pause/stop etc..
9. You can pause the
process of recording by clicking the "Pause" button any time you want
and then resume it by clicking the "Continue" button.
10. When you've finished
recording, press Stop (button).
11. Click "Done"
button to insert the recording into the file at the position you previously
selected.
12. To save your
recording, click the File menu and choose Save command. Name your
file and save in .wav format and save it to an folder (as you like).
Edit Vocal in Second
Instance:
13. Play full recording
using Play button. While playing starting and ending of your recording file
you will see some silence part.
14. Now remove silence at
the beginning of recording by selecting the silence part of an audio and
using Delete (Menu > Edit > Delete) command. Note:

15. Similarly remove
silence at the ending of recording by selecting the silence part of an
audio.
16. Save the file once
again.
Mix Audio and
Music:
17. Before mixing adjust the volume of the vocal
if needed.
18. Select the part that
is recorded and use "Copy" command (Edit > Copy).
19. Switch to the music
file. Using one point selection and use "Paste-Mix" command (Edit >
Paste > Mix).
20. Finally save your file, using "Save As" command in File menu.
