How to fine adjust the selection of start and end position?

In most cases, editing and adding effects are performed only on the currently selected part of a
sound (highlighted part of the sound between two vertical select bars)

To move the Start / End position, drag the start/end position bar on the waveform at the point where you want to move it.

Steps to select accurately:

1. Viewing a larger area make the selection approximately where you want.
2. Use "Zoom In/Out - at Mouse click" command (the second zoom button) and click near the start selection bar few times to zoom in. Do this with out changing the selection.
3. Click on the play scale button to test play the position. And adjust the start of the selection by dragging the select start bar.
3a. In this condition you can also use the popup play button on the selection bar to test play the selection. (Just move the mouse over the selection bar flag to see this play button).
4. Using the same command "Zoom In /Out - at mouse click" (no need to use the zoom button again if you are already in that mode) do Right click to zoom out.

To select the start or end of file as insert point?

For selecting End or Start point correctly: When you do any insert operation do not make any selection, instead of that you can click the "Reset" button this will clear the selection. After that use the insert command ( example Paste-Insert), It will ask to conform the selection, there you will find two choices "Start and End Point", there you can choose as you need.
